2016 FFSA season
The 2016 Football Federation South Australia season will be the fourth season under the National Premier Leagues competition format in South Australia. The FFSA has announced a restructuring of the league format in South Australia, moving from a 2 tiered system to a 3 tiered system with the introduction of a new 3rd division.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=League structure confirmed for new Licence Period )〕
The 3 leagues will comprise a 12-team National Premier League, a 12-team State League, and a 12-team State League 1, which will include SAASL teams Fulham United and Adelaide Vipers and also Collegiate Soccer League team Mount Barker United.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=FFSA welcomes 3 clubs in to 2016 State League 1 )〕 This league structure will remain until the end of the 2018 season, with allowances for new teams entering State League 1.
